About us
The word ‘Bistro’ was introduced during the Russian Occupation in Paris in 1815. The Russian Cossacks, who always wanted to be served quickly, used to yell ‘bystro’ while waiting for their order, which literally means ‘fast’.
Although you could still just enjoy a ‘Fries’ beef in our restaurant nowadays, we can offer our guests so much more than that.
Bistro ‘t Gerecht is known for a place where you can enjoy food from the French Mediterranean kitchen while having a good glass of wine in a pleasant atmosphere.
By its styling and Parisian elements, the restaurant is highly suitable for either a business lunch or a romantic dinner for two. Group dinners and private business dinners also belong to the possibilities that we offer.
Together with NH Hotel De Ville, Bistro ‘t Gerecht is situated in two historical buildings in the centre of Groningen. By means of this, we have the facilities to arrange complete residential and non-residential meetings.
